Osaka, Japan - Panasonic announces the completion of the Eco & UD House ", a house model that incorporates advanced technical solutions in terms of eco-and design ( UD is in fact stands for universal design). Located inside the Panasonic Center in Tokyo, will be open to the public since January 4, 2006, to offer visitors the chance to experience the 'home of the future'. Furnished with a large number of products, technologies and Panasonic ideas, this house is designed to be both comfortable and environmentally friendly.
The Panasonic device in the Eco & UD House "adopt an ergonomic design and studied in detail (including color contrast). They are also safe and easy for everyone to use, for example, voice guides are available to simplify the use of more sophisticated digital equipment. Among the features of interest may mention the use of solar energy, the self-cleaning air conditioning system, appliances with low water consumption, and LED lighting. The home cinema system, which is managed by a universal remote control, includes a large plasma TV that not only serve as a tool of entertainment, fulfills the role of 'information window' (It is related, inter alia, the installation of safety).
The house is designed for everyone, regardless of age and ability: the corridors are equipped with handrails and are large enough to also allow access to wheelchairs. The roof is covered with plants, which serve simultaneously as a natural insulator and reduce heat in urban areas.
The Eco & UD House will be open during the weekends and during national holidays in Japan.
